We are a small 4 room bed and breakfast hotel nestled 800 meters up the hill from the small laid back beach town of Montezuma, which is a gem of a destination for Costa Ricans and foreigners, and also host to a wide mix of "ex-pats" from all over the world. Located 15 minutes from the upper Montezuma Waterfalls, and featuring a butterfly garden that raises local lepidoptera, we are removed enough from the bustle of a small tourist town to truly enjoy the fruits of living in a neo-tropical jungle, while still seeing lots of visitors; locals and tourists alike.
We are looking for up to three live-in interns. Internships are primarily charged with reception and guest services, and are expected to work 40 hours a week. We work a compact schedule to allow for maximum time off to let interns get to know attractions and fully engage in the area to be able to offer better suggestions to guests. This means working two days a week open to close, and one half day shift. Interns will be coordinating closely with full time staff, offering table service for breakfasts in the morning, and will be given the tools to assist with tour bookings, for which you will earn a commission on tour sales. You will also be responsible for guest checkins and checkouts, and running the register for entrance sales to the butterfly garden, as well as drink and light retail sales at the front of house and phone duties. We will also orient you in the butterfly garden, to be better able to describe to guests and visitors everything that attraction offers.
