Get involved by becoming an intern with us! By applying for an internship - you are given a unique experience, gaining an in-depth understanding of our mission and the animals we serve. We have several internships requiring various skills and experience - from marketing, business administration, animal clinical work, conservation research, ecology and environment, veterinarian education, and culinary arts. We also work with various schools all over the world if you are looking for an externship or to earn credit with your university. We happily accept university students, university graduates, individuals that have been working in their respective field, and so on. San Josecito, San Isidro de Heredia

Qualifications/Skills:
Basic Spanish, enthusiasm and desire to help wildlife. All applicants require an animal related discipline or have some experience working with animals.

Duration of program:
4 months

Age requirement:
Adults of all sexes 18+

Cost:
US$3600. Housing including utilities is provided. Meals are provided 7-days a week. All other costs are to be paid for by the intern (travel expenses, medical insurance, entertainment expenses, etc).

Other information:
The Animal Husbandry Intern works with our Team for 5 days a week with two days off. Days off are not necessarily on the weekend. Workdays begin with animal feeding at 7am and end at 3pm. The daily schedule needs to be flexible depending on the day’s workload. You will learn about your schedule and days off during your orientation at the Ranch.
