Description

We are a rainforest conservation and environmental education project.

We welcome the assistance of volunteers for any length of time. Spend time with us in the jungle and beach in the Osa Peninsula, Costa Rica.

Volunteers get involved in gardening and butterfly related work plus environmental education. Gardening work includes planting, soil preparation, filling plant bags, weeding, harvest, irrigation, seed processing, etc. Butterfly tasks include egg and caterpillar collection, trap monitoring, butterfly tagging and mapping, host plant propagation and collection. Volunteers work from 7.30am to 3.30pm, Monday-Friday.

Age requirement:
Adults of both sexes 16+ (must have adult consent if under 18. Volunteers under the age of 16 must be accompanied by an adult)

Cost:
US$15 per day or US$400 per month which includes accommodation in volunteer cabin and breakfast.

Other information:
Volunteers receive training sessions that provide an opportunity to learn new skills related to tropical plants and wildlife.
