Volunteering Abroad Shouldn't Cost the Earth

Volunteer in Andean Community Ecuador

Description

We work on a not-for-profit basis, providing safe and enjoyable inter-cultural "immersion" experiences that, we think, are of great benefit to local children and adults, as well as the volunteers themselves. We offer three main types of placement: teaching English or other subjects in community schools; farming with local families; and conservation/ecology work, also with local families. We now have a communal organic fruit and vegetable garden. Volunteers are welcome to work in more than one area if desired.

Our project provides a wonderful opportunity to experience the breathtaking natural beauty of the cloud forests and gain fascinating insight into rural Ecuadorian culture, while helping local children and adults to appreciate their amazing natural surroundings and to get out of the poverty trap.
