Workstay in the Panama Canal Panama
Our houseboat is a floating lodge, the only one that has ever existed in the Panama Canal. The view from our terraces is straight onto the Panamanian jungle. We are rated as one of the top experiences in Panama. Our volunteers would be living in the same houseboat and enjoying the same incredible Panama Tours & Jungle Land experience.
Dates of program:
Year round (when available)
Duration of program:
3 months minimum
Adults of both sexes 18+
All volunteers would be housed on the boat. The offer includes all meals as well.
We offer Panama day tours, kayaking, fishing, and overnight stays in the only floating lodge on the Panama Canal. We also do team building and survivor style competitions. Other excursions include visits to the Embera Indigenous communities and the historical ruins of Fort San Lorenzo.
"This truly is a unique experience! You have to be a hard worker, lover of nature and definitely the outdoorsy type - if you are all these things you will learn so much and have a fantastic experience. Days consisted of taking guests out on hikes, kayaks, boat trips and paddle boarding, tending to their needs, and talking to them about all the amazing nature around. I was there for three months; learnt so much about the flora and fauna of Panama, and had a great time taking guests around and sharing all my knowledge with them. If you're up for a challenge, this is the place for you!"- Julia Galbenu
