Volunteering Abroad Shouldn't Cost the Earth

Service Learning Trips Guatemala

Description

The Highland Support Project has service learning trips throughout the summer in Guatemala! We focus on Indigenous led community wellness programming, empowerment through agency building, and ecological programming. HSP fosters agency and empowers indigenous communities by providing opportunities for education, community organization, supporting social entrepreneurs, and addressing health and poverty in the face of shifting political arenas and environmental changes. Our community programming focuses on building stoves, reforestation, sustainable horticulture, and support Indigenous women through business formation.
